Finding love in this modern age can be daunting and difficult at times. Luckily for Wen Ting and Ye Jun, the stars were rightfully aligned – or should we say, their online connection?
The Singaporean couple first met through the popular dating app, Coffee Meet Bagels until sparks flew off-screen and a marriage date was soon picked.
The introverted duo desired a simple pre-wedding shoot in Phuket, Thailand. With a blushing bride and a charming groom to work with, Ammata’s Eyes was determined to surprise this couple with a magical and memorable experience as their Phuket pre-wedding photographer.
Wen Ting and Ye Jun chose “The Husband’s Favourite”.
Like its namesake, this Phuket pre-wedding photo package is a groom’s favourite due to its short and productive hour span of 2 hours a day. Don’t let the duration fool you, however, for it only takes being at the right moment at the right time to capture an everlasting impression.
On the first day, the team met at Anantara Layan Resort at 4pm.
Dressed in a mesmerising mermaid dress in shimmering shades of blue, the bride beamed brightly at her fiancée while his eyes shyly gazed back at her.
It was heart-warming to see the gentle couple whisper at each other after each photo click, as they giggled and laughed when they didn’t know what to do.
Luckily, Ammata’s Eyes happily guided them through some natural poses as they proceeded to Bangtao Beach at sunset.
The waves glistened against the setting rays, casting the bride in an ephemeral light as they celebrated the beginning of being part of each other’s world.
A fairy-tale shoot between shore and sea, the couple eased into a comfortable playfulness with each other while playing with sparklers.
The bashful couple tumbled around in laughter as they tried not to trip over long dresses and soft sand.
Vintage cars and vans were also coincidently parked on the beach, providing a sense of romantic escapism as an illuminating backdrop.
Started at 8am-10am, allowing the couple to see Phuket in its varying wondrous hours of the day.
Surin Beach is filled with natural boulders which provided unique, textural layers to the landscape’s composition. Hands clasped fingers, noses nudged noses, and lips kissed foreheads.
Relaxed after securing the previous day, the groom cheerfully whisked his bride onto his shoulders.
The team headed to Kokaeo Lake where an enchanted forest awaited.
Phuket has some beautiful hidden spots, and this special 3-way forest is one of them.
This location captured traditional pre-wedding photos in gowns of white, almost like a ceremony in a “Midsummer Night’s Dream”- as the woodland folk cooed at the bride’s veil fluttering delicately in the air.
From one angle, the couple promenaded an aisle of overarching rubber trees while another angle saw them in front of a serene lake.
The last view transported them to another world as pine trees soared into the sky, almost as if they were overseas away from Phuket Island!
A magical, minimal, and memorable pre-wedding shoot: Husband’s Favourite.
By yours truly,
Ammata & Shir
