Returning to one’s birthplace may be a journey of rediscovery to some. That is exactly what happened to British bride, Davinia when she told her fiancée, Oliver of her desire to have a Phuket wedding.
Born in Thailand, Davinia passionately kept the fond memories of her roots close to her heart even oceans away.
The couple had even decided to adopt a dog from Soi Dog Foundation, Thailand, tying that strong connection deeper by welcoming one into their new founded family. Deciding to have a wedding ceremony in Phuket was the perfect wedding destination to tie the knot as this personal location symbolized new beginnings and promises.
Among other Thailand beach wedding venues, the couple chose to host a Marriot Phuket wedding on the resort’s private long beach that extended far into the horizon. The never-ending, broad shore was the perfect place to host big ceremonies as friends and families flew in from the UK to visit the gorgeous tropical weather.
The theme was white – white roses, white flowing silks, and white sand. It is quite difficult to host an outdoor beach wedding but the wedding planner, The Wedding Bliss Thailand and Ammata’s Eyes worked diligently to make sure all the details were spectacular at the Marriott Phuket Resort.
Excitement crackled on the wedding day as the bride tried to stay focused on writing her vows while being eagerly drawn to incoming guests, while the groom welcomed the family. Smiles were shared all around as the intimate ceremony was the best time to cherish dear friends and loved ones.
A cheeky maid of honor hides the wedding gown, only to reveal it dramatically behind curtains. Bridesmaids swoon and awed at their beloved friend.
The bright blue skies and warm sand invited everyone to attend the Phuket wedding barefooted. Let go, the wind sang. Dance in our waters, the island rejoiced.
By procuring the “Just Right” package, the couple had 8 hours to relax and enjoy their wedding experience as Ammata’s Eyes took care of capturing all the happy moments. While the sun began to set over the ocean view, fairy lights and candles lit up wooden banquet tables. Delicious course meals and buffets served authentic Thai cuisine to the guests while the sand shifted beneath their feet.
It was a magical fairytale—one that genuinely felt fun, alive, and like an unforgettable party.
For the couple, this Phuket wedding was a thrilling commemoration of revising one’s past and building one’s future. From humorous family speeches to the bride and groom’s first dance, everyone could not stop dancing the night away.
Happiness blossomed till dawn.
Davinia and Oliver will always be a special couple to Ammata’s Eyes. After 13 months of online meetings and calls, our friendship grew stronger as we finally met in Phuket and were welcomed by their warm-hearted hugs and joyful spirits.
